Jede Lerneinheit der TechnoPlus Englisch Online Extensions behandelt, basierend auf aktuellen Videos, Audioaufnahmen oder Texten, ein in sich geschlossenes Thema aus dem Bereich des Technischen Englisch. Dieses Thema wird mit multimedialen Präsentationen und unterschiedlichen Übungsformen aufbereitet und trainiert so Lese- und Videoverstehen sowie Wortschatz und Grammatik.
Die Lerneinheiten sind konzipiert für Lerner mit guten Grundkenntnissen (B1 Niveau des Europäischen Referenzrahmens).
Jede Online Extension bildet eine in sich geschlossene Einheit und steht in zwei Versionen zur Verfügung – einer Version für deutsche Lerner sowie einer rein englischsprachigen Version.

Die TechnoPlus Online Extensions werden in einer Kooperation zwischen der htw saar und der EUROKEY Software GmbH entwickelt.
Die verantwortliche Autorin Dr. phil. Christine Sick ist Professorin für Angewandte Sprachen, CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning), Multimedia und Distance Learning an der htw saar war als Autorin bereits federführend an der Entwicklung des multimedialen Sprachlernprogramms TechnoPlus Englisch beteiligt. Sie wird bei den Online Extensions unterstützt von Lisa Rotter und Miriam Wedig.
